BULKSOLIDS INNOVATION INDIA (BSII) PRIVATE LIMITED is a Technology driven, Powder and Bulk Material Engineering Company incubated at the Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Park (STEP)-Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET), India. The company has been formed as per the “National Innovation and Startup Policy 2019 for Students and Faculty” of MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) to provide research led innovative solutions to industry originating at Higher Education Institutes. BSII is honored to have received prestigious Grant-in-Aid from MeitY, Government of India for AI-based power handling technologies.

Our association with Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET), which has remained as one of the leading institute of engineering and technology in India since its inception in 1956, positions us at the center of a scholarly ambience that promotes creativity, innovation and excellence. Powder Flow Laboratory at Thapar Institute, which is the largest laboratory for Powder & Bulk Solids Technologies in Asia, is equipped with:
- Pneumatic conveying pilot plant to evaluate powder conveyability, pressure drop, air flow requirement in pressure and vacuum conveying.
- Shear testers to evaluate powder stresses, flow properties and wall friction for hopper/feeder design.
- Powder testers to evaluate angle of repose, cohesion, fluidization-deareation characteristics, spreadability, segregation and floodability characteristics of powders.
